My paintings are guided by process, surface, and presence, allowing material and gesture to speak before fixed interpretation.

My artistic foundation was first shaped by my father, an oil painter, whose guidance gave me an early respect for the discipline, tradition, and seriousness of painting as well as the integrity of materials I use.
